    • Who can be a substitute Educational Aide?
      • Sub Solutions requires substitute educational aides to be 18 years of age and to have a high school diploma or GED. 
      • To serve as a substitute Educational Aide at the High School level you must be 22 years of age or older
    • What is required to be a substitute Educational Aide?
      • Valid Educational Aide Permit (Sub Solutions will provide instructions)
      • Attendance at In-person Orientation, submission of all Hiring Documents, and successful completion of Required Trainings
  • How much do Substitute Educational Aides get paid?
    • Our partner Districts determine pay rates for their Substitutes   
  • How long does the hiring process take?
    • Much of the hiring process depends upon a variety of factors including the state of Ohio approving background checks and licensure applications and the seasonal demands of our partner districts.  This makes the hiring process difficult to predict.  It is important for applicants to read instructions thoroughly to ensure a smooth hiring process.  Sub Solutions strive to move applicants through the process quickly and efficiently.

    • Application will be reviewed by Sub Solutions
    • Sub Solutions will contact applicant via email with Next Steps
    • Attend Required In-Person Orientation
      • Candidates who miss or cancel two scheduled orientation sessions will be moved to inactive status in our system. Once a candidate is inactive, they will not be scheduled for another orientation in the same school year.   
    • Complete all hiring forms/trainings after Orientation
    • Complete your Frontline Account Set Up
    • Pick up Assignments in Frontline and begin subbing!
